  • The campus is conveniently located at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Route 22 in Somerville.

  • The Immaculata High School student body is comprised of students from over sixty elementary schools, both Catholic and public, across Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Warren, and Union counties, as well as other communities across the state of New Jersey.

Campus: Three Buildings

  • The Immaculata High School campus encompasses three buildings. In addition to academic classrooms, the main building houses the school library, guidance offices, cafeteria, art room, gymnasium, Technology Center, and Little Theater.
  • The John and Mary Obzansky Building, completed in 1999, houses the science classrooms and laboratories, athletic facilities and state-of-the-art music facilities.
  • The Frauenheim Building houses a fully-equipped computer center (one of three on campus) and classrooms for Mathematics and Business.

 

Accreditation:

  • Immaculata is accredited by the Middle States Association and the New Jersey Department of Education. It is a Parish High School, an educational component of the Diocese of Metuchen.  In 1998, Immaculata was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in the Blue Ribbon Schools Program as a Recognized School of Excellence.
  • Our school curriculum is designed primarily as college preparatory. Student scheduling, however, allows non-college bound students to succeed on their own level.

  • We offer a full complement of honors classes, and advanced placement classes in English, History, Math, Science, World Language, Art, and Business with the possibility of taking Advanced Placement Examinations. A wide variety of sports and extracurricular activites enhances the academic program.
