- Joanne Liscovitz, IHS English teacher from 1981-1984, is going to be recognized as one of Somerset County's Outstanding Women of 2012 by the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women (SSCWC) on Friday, March 23rd at The Imperia in Somerset. Joanne is being honored for her leadership of the "Ribbons of Hope" event. "Ribbons of Hope" is the primary fundraiser for a charity Joanne co-founded called "Dance for the Cure," which educates people about cancer and cancer prevention as well as providing direct monetary assistance to people and families dealing with the financial burden of such an illness. Joanne is the wife of Mike '71 and mother of Meredith '02 and Brian '06 (posted 2/28/2012).

- Karen Licitra '77 has been appointed Worldwide Chairman of Johnson & Johnson’s new Global Medical Solutions Group, effective January 1, 2012.

Gregg Hinton '79 is having a banner year in his acting career. The commercials he recently filmed for Hewlett Packard and Denny's are currently airing nationally. He also just booked a national campaign for Progressive that will begin shooting withing the next month. Aside from his on-screen success, Greg also recently completed a goal that was on his "to do" list for years: He received his AA degree in Liberal Arts-Arts and Humanities, from Santa Monica College, Santa Monica, CA. - Alex Tarletsky, son of Noreen Power Tarletsky '82 is battling cystic fibrosis (CF). The Power-Tarletsky Family participates in several fundraisers which support research to find a cure for CF. To track Noreen's fund raising progress or support her walk-a-thon efforts with a donation of your own, click here. In addition, Noreen and her family have embarked on a new endeavor for CF with Seton Hall University men's head basketball coach, Kevin Willard, and SHU Athletic Director, Pat Lyons to create Coaches Cure CF. Coach Willard is presently in the Infinity/ESPN Coaches Charity Challenge representing the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in an effort to win $100,000 for research. The goal is to gain the daily vote of fans to earn Coach Willard a place in "the final four" and an additional shot at the final prize. Please continue to keep Alex and his family in your prayers. - Rob Ballister '90 published his first book, God Does Have a Sense of Humor, in 2005, and dedicated it to Mrs. Greer McKenna, his junior year English teacher. Since then, Rob has won two awards: his book earned the 2007 Military Writers' Society of America (MWSA) Gold Medal for Humor, and more recently Rob was honored with the 2009 MWSA President's Award for service to military writers in general. As an active duty naval officer and a cancer survivor, Rob has a soft spot for deployed troops and those battling cancer, and often makes special arrangements to get his book to as many troops and cancer patients as he can. - Janine Tocci-Jaloway '93 and her sister, Nicole Tocci '96 co-own a spray tanning salon. The salon was started in order to create safe, beautiful tans, without the risk of skin cancer, which Nicole beat a few years ago. - Please pray for Enzo Grande who is battling leukemia. Enzo is the 3-year-old son of Vincenzo and Elaine Pinnero Grande '97. Janine Poggioli Grimm '99, Elaine's cousin, has begun a Give Forward campaign to raise money to help Enzo in his fight against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Enzo will need to undergo treatments for this disease until he is 7 years old. Andrew (A.J.) Albert '07 (pictured right, #17), a senior linebacker at Salve Regina University, was selected as a member of the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Football Team, chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He was also named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III all-star team and ranked second in the nation with 23 tackles for a loss (posted 12/12/2011, updated 1/19/2012 photo courtesy of Salve Regina University).

Frank DeNick '08
Frank DeNick '08, a senior Psychology major Bucknell and wide receiver for the Bisons, was recently named to the Patriot League Honor Roll and the All-Patriot League Team. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports. Frank, a co-recipient of the Tom Gadd Coaches' Award, was the only receiver to catch at least one pass in every game in 2011. Frank was also a feature story in the Bucknell 2011 Bison Football Program Book (posted 3/8/2012).

John Kreiger '08 has been in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years. He is currently stationed in Afghanistan, due to return home in August/September 2012. John has asked for your prayers and a safe return for him and his Unit from their tour of duty. John is doing well and said that his strong faith and support from home has been most important at this time (posted 3/23/2012).
- Anthony J. Savas '08 (Class Valedictorian) of Bridgewater, NJ has graduated Summa Cum-Laude from the Cornell University College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Anthony is also a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honour Society. He will continue his education at Cornell University to pursue his Master of Engineering Degree in Aerospace Engineering (posted 1/5/2012).
- Diane Gasko '09 has created a Facebook page IC-CFSG (Immaculate Conception's College Faith Sharing Group) with the goal of coming together as a college community within the IC Parish community to reflect on the gospel and put faith into action. Anyone is welcome.

- Alison Cullen '10, a sophomore at Susquehanna University (SU), was named the Landmark Conference's Pitcher of the Week, released April 16, 2012. This marks the first weekly honor of her career. Cullen went 2-0 the week of April 9, 2012 for the SU Crusaders. She started the week by picking up the win in a 3-2 win against Wilkes and followed that with a complete-game shutout over Juniata. For the season, Cullen is 6-1 with a team-leading 2.23 ERA. Toread more about Alison, click here (posted 4/17/2012).
- Traci-Joan Muniz '10 is currently a sophomore Communications major at Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY where she also plays on the Women's Lacrosse team. Traci has been invited to participate on the USA Athletes International Women's Lacrosse team which will be playing in the International Women's Lacrosse Down Under Cup Tournament in Melbourne, Australia this June. - Ralph D'Agostino '11 was one of 23 players selected to the 2012 U.S. Men's Under-19 Lacrosse Team and will be representing our country in Turku, Finland this July. The team is looking to raise money for their trip to Finland. If you would like to support Ralph and his teammates, please click here. Ralph is currently a freshman at Syracuse University, playing lacrosse for the Orangemen (updated 3/16/2012).
