Retreats
Immaculata emphasizes the importance of the Catholic faith to its students. In addition to mandatory day long class retreats, Campus Ministry offers several weekend experiences which are strictly voluntary, but always have a long waiting list. They allow students to grow as individuals but also as a family. During a weekend, students can build new relationships, strengthen existing ones, or repair old ones whether with God or with one another.

Revelations Retreat

A brief look at a recent Revelations Retreat.

Revelations: This retreat is for freshmen and sophomores. It takes place twice over the school year, once in November and once in the spring time. A team of juniors organize the retreat along with an adult team. "Revelations was so much fun! It helped me gain a sense of belonging. I made a lot of friends. It was the best weekend of my life," says a recent participant.

Visions:
Another experience for freshmen and sophomores is held in the winter months. This too is led by a group of juniors and adults. "Visions was my first retreat," says a freshmen. "I was surprised by how many people came. I learned a lot about myself and I got closer to God. The team was great. I hope I can be on team some day!"

Antioch: An experience for juniors and seniors which affords them the opportunity to dive deeper into their spiritual lives. This retreat is led by a team of 12 seniors with several adult mentors. "Thank you so much for making Antioch available to us. When I think about my years at Immaculata, I have so many rich memories but I know that Antioch made the greatest impact on me. It changed my life. I still wear my cross," says an IHS grad in a recent letter.

Leadership: A leadership retreat is available to those who wish to be in leadership in Campus Ministry.

Urban Plunge: A weekend retreat held at the Romero Center in Camden includes both hands on experience and reflection of the experience. "I never knew there was such poverty in our world. I hope I can help in some small way- I feel so blessed," says a recent participant.

Small Faith Communities: Students who participate in weekend retreats are invited to be part of ongoing faith development by participating in a small faith community.
