 Immaculata High School Symphonic Band
Open to students in grades 10-12, The Symphonic Band is one of the school’s premier ensembles. Lead by Mr. Amato & team taught by the music faculty, this group brings contemporary and classic concert band music to the forefront of the student’s musical education.
The Symphonic Band meets daily and is the largest ensemble of the music department. Students will enhance previous knowledge on their band instrument as well as begin a new band instrument. Music theory, instrumental group lessons, full band rehearsals and sectional rehearsals are all part of this comprehensive curriculum.
This ensemble performs at all department concerts, trips and instrumental clinics. The Symphonic band has received consistently high ratings at the CJMEA concert band festivals the past few years and has worked with many local clinicians, such as Prof. Darryl Bott and Tim Smith from Rutgers University.
