Honors Wind Ensemble

Open to students in grades 10-12, the Honors Wind Ensemble performs contemporary and classic Wind Band repertoire at the highest level. Lead by director Ed Webber and team taught by the music faculty, the Honors Wind Ensemble challenges students to the highest caliber of musicianship.

The Honors Wind Ensemble meets daily. Students will enhance previous knowledge on their band instrument through performance and practice. Music theory, instrumental group lessons, full band rehearsals and sectional rehearsals are all part of this comprehensive curriculum. The Honors Wind Ensemble performs at all department concerts, trips and instrumental clinics.

Over the past several years, the Wind Ensemble has consistently received ratings of Gold & Superior at the CJMEA concert band festivals and has had the privelage to work with clinicians such as Prof. Darryl Bott & Ed Lisk.
